| Summary: Originally part of the 2025 prep class, Jenkins reclassified to 2024 to get to East Carolina early and actually made his collegiate debut while still 17. He will only be a couple months past his 20th birthday on draft day in 2027, but this is not a frame that screams projection. It is a mature frame and has good arm speed, but his command is inconsistent. The fastball is up to 97 with plenty of life with a foot and a half of IVB. His slider sits around 84 and a curveball in the low 80s, both quality and distinct offerings. His best secondary offering though is his split change that he absolutely kills spin sitting 84-85. While that command is inconsistent, the delivery is solid and he should develop into at least average command, giving him a good starter’s profile. | |||||||||||
