| Summary: Mohammed is as physically imposing as most in the 2026 class, but he is in the 2027 class. He has a very long arm path to a lower 3/4 slot with powerful arm that sits in the lower 90s but has been up to 97 with a sinking fastball. There is probably not a better changeup in the class, as he maintains his arm speed well but creates massive separation as it sits 77-81 with up to 20” of run and gets some really bad swings on the pitch. He mixes in a slider into the low 80s but he struggles to stay on top of the pitch leading to inconsistent command and shape currently. There is room to see two above average to plus pitches with a third average pitch from a frame and delivery that can handle a starter’s workload and could make a real case to be the first prep arm off the board in 2027. | |||||||||||
