| Summary: Shelar is a toolsy outfielder with a shot of developing into five average to better tools when all is said and done. He has an upright slightly open stance with a toe tap in the load that squares up his body as he really fires the bat. He can overswing and get into too much of an uppercut bat plane, but he makes contact despite it. He has a good eye at the plate but is aggressive especially early in counts, but he doesn’t strike out and the immense bat speed really allows the ball to jump when he squares up the baseball giving him plus raw potential. Defensively his above average speed plays and the arm is more than enough for center or right. | |||||||||||
