| Summary: Blomker brings an athletic, efficient delivery with a compact arm path that allows his fastball to explode out of the hand. Sitting in the low-to-mid 90s and reaching 96, the pitch carries through the zone with late life, missing bats at the top and inducing weak contact when spotted down. He repeats well from a slightly closed, crossfire slot, showing consistent strike-throwing ability and the kind of tempo that keeps hitters off balance. The breaking ball is a legitimate weapon—working in the upper 70s to low 80s with tight two-plane bite and flashes of wipeout shape when he stays on top of it. He can manipulate the shape between a harder slider and a deeper curve, giving him multiple looks off the same tunnel. The changeup rounds out a strong three-pitch mix, flashing late sink and fade in the mid-80s. Blomker’s combination of athleticism, command, and swing-and-miss stuff makes him one of the more polished high school righties in the class, with mid-rotation upside and a chance to move quickly once he adds a bit more physical strength. | |||||||||||
