Player: Jorvorskie Lane Jr.
School: OD Wyatt (TX)Position(s): C/OF
Height: 6′Weight: 190 lbs.Bats: RightThrows: Right
Summary:
Lane brings a rare blend of top-end bat speed, power, and athleticism that jumps immediately in any look. The right-handed swing is compact but explosive, producing some of the biggest raw power in the class with natural strength and advanced hand speed. He sees the ball well and can get the barrel to velocity, though the approach features swing-and-miss—especially against spin—that will need tightening as he climbs. Even with those miss tendencies, the combination of exit velocity, bat speed, and pure strength gives him legitimate middle-of-the-order upside.

Defensively, Lane’s long term position is still TBD although the outfield seems to be most likely. He’s made the transition from catcher to the outfield, moving well in center with athletic strides, closing speed, and an arm that projects near plus once the release gets cleaner. The versatility adds value and gives teams multiple pathways to get his bat in the lineup. Young for the class and still tapping into his full physicality, Lane carries a high-ceiling profile built on loud offensive tools, NFL-caliber explosiveness he inherited from his bruising running back father, and the athletic foundation to refine into an impact bat at the next level.
