| Summary: Bryce Hill, the 6’5″ 220 lbs. prep from Connecticut is physical equipped to hit the ground running at the next level. Hill has clearly matured physically over the last two season, adding noticeable strength and velocity. The right hander topped 99mph this past summer, working comfortably in the 93-96mph range. The fastball explodes through the zone with carry. He accompanies the heater with a slider that bites late with depth. The change-up, works 81-84mph, showing good deferential from the fastball and has late tumble. Hill works with a simple, repeatable delivery staying linear to the plate. From a higher three quarter slot, the arm speed is elite. Hill has the frame and the stuff to reach triple digits consistently as he continues to mature. The Stanford signee should have an immediate impact for the Cardinal, should he make it to campus. | |||||||||||
