Summary:
Wolkow brings some of the most imposing strength and leverage in the minors, and with it, some of the loudest raw power you’ll find at his age. Elite bat speed and long levers create huge carry when he connects, but those same levers lengthen the swing and expose him to fastballs above the belt and breaking balls that move off the plate. Signs of improvement surfaced as the season progressed, particularly in staying direct to the ball and maintaining bat speed through contact.

Offensive volatility pairs with more athleticism than expected for a player his size. He runs well underway, moves better in the outfield than on the dirt, and shows a solid arm that fits comfortably in right field. There’s real developmental runway here: pitch recognition and zone control need to tighten, but underlying strength and natural loft give him a chance to grow into a middle-of-the-order threat if contact quality and frequency climb together.

Overall projection leans boom-or-bust but with a ceiling few peers can match. Strong makeup and work ethic give him a better shot than most ultra-long levers to narrow the miss window, and early exposure to full-season ball should accelerate feedback loops. If the approach stabilizes and the swing stays short enough to catch velocity, the power will take care of the rest.
