| Summary: Scolari, the West Coast Conference Pitcher of Year in 2025, is headed to Eugene to toe the rubber for the Ducks. The 6’4″ 200 lbs. righty certainly looks the part and should be a staple Oregon’s starting rotation in 2026. Scolari has a four pitch mix, though he relies heavily on a mid to upper 90’s fastball and a low 80’s slider. Coach Wasikowski has had high praise for Scolari through the fall, noting the fastball is lively with ride, cut, and run at times. The curveball and changeup are a work in progress. Working with a simple, repeatable delivery, Scolari finishes violently displaying consistent arm speed with all pitches. He struck out 77 over 70.1 innings last year for USD with an impressive 9.9 k’s per 9 innings. He has struggled with command at times, walking 39 and allowing 13 HBP’s in 2025. Should he hone in all four pitches and take a the next step with command, Scolari looks to start his professional career as a starter with tremendous upside. | |||||||||||
