| Summary: UCSB has become a mid-major factory in terms of pumping out quality arms in the draft, and this year is no different. The arm talent jumps immediately, with Flora pairing elite velocity and spin in a way few college pitchers can match. He works comfortably in the mid-to-upper 90s and will touch triple digits, and the fastball plays even harder thanks to carry, extension, and a flatter approach angle from a lower slot. The pitch explodes through the top of the zone and consistently overwhelms hitters when he’s ahead, giving him a true foundation heater that stacks up with any arm in the class. The breaking-ball package is equally loud. His sweeping slider in the low-to-mid 80s has become a legitimate bat-misser, showing both depth and horizontal shape with the ability to land it for strikes or bury it late for chase. The change has flashed as a real weapon against left-handed hitters, and the strike-throwing has trended positively as the arsenal has expanded. With premium velocity, elite spin traits, and an increasingly complete mix, the profile now reads as a true rotation anchor candidate.
