| Summary: Turner shows legitimate two-way intrigue, but the bat clearly stands out as the louder present tool. From the left side, there’s extreme bat speed and real top-end exit velocity that jumps off the barrel. The swing can get noisy and long at times, especially when he’s looking to do damage to the pull side, but the underlying hand speed and strength give him plus-plus raw power upside. He’s strong through contact, drives the ball with intent, and consistently produces impact even on mishits. Defensive value fits best in a corner outfield spot, where the arm strength plays comfortably and the bat profiles to carry. On the mound, Turner is athletic and loose with a delivery that allows him to throw strikes and create uncomfortable looks. Working from the stretch, he sets up closed and lands with some cross-body action, helping the fastball play up with run in the upper-80s to low-90s range. Both the slider and changeup flash usable shape in the low-80s, giving him a legitimate three-pitch mix for a prep lefty. While the arm is interesting and shows feel, the offensive ceiling is harder to ignore — the bat speed, raw power, and impact traits suggest the position-player path will ultimately drive his value unless the velocity or secondary consistency makes a meaningful jump on the pitching side. | |||||||||||
