| Summary: Radel, a big arm and a big frame to match has seen his stock rise early in 2026. An imposing figure on the mound standing 6’5″ 250 lbs., the right hander has a five pitch mix that continues to evolve. Radel’s fastball will touch 97mh and sit comfortably in the 94-95 mph range. He delivers it from a higher three quarter slot with extension that plays (7′ plus). He will mix in a sinker (91-92 mph) at times with arm side run but primarily works with the four seam fastball. The rest of the arsenal includes a slider, curveball, cutter, an change up. The slider is the out pitch. It plays with late bit and depth in the mid-80’s. The curveball brings a different shape in the lower 80’s. The cutter tunnels extremely well off his fastball sitting 89-92 mph, running in on left-handed bats. The right hander moves well and controls his larger frame down the mound. Its a repeatable delivery that certainly contributes to his above average command. In 35 innings in 2026, Radel has walked only six hitters while striking out 44 (7.33 SO/W). He is coming off a dominant performance against a very good Clemson squad where he went 9 innings, allowing 4 hits, 0 runs, 0 BB’s and 8 K’s. With a durable frame and an arsenal that includes five pitches, Radel’s stuff says starter at the next level. If the change up comes around and the rest of the repertoire continues on its current trajectory, Radel could be a steal in the 2nd round in July. | |||||||||||
