Summary:
The fastball is the engine and it’s a legitimate one. Sitting mid-90s and touching 98 out of a quick, effortless release with a low release height and above-average extension, the flat approach angle generates swing-and-miss and chase when it’s pounded to the upper third and the glove-side corner. The pitch has above-average weapon traits when commanded well — the hard contact risk that surfaces when it leaks into the heart of the zone is something to monitor but not a disqualifying trait given the overall stuff quality.

The secondary mix gives him multiple shapes to develop from. A sweeping slider is the primary weapon and projects as a true put-away pitch when located out of the zone to set up the fastball. A slurvy curveball gives him a distinct second breaking ball shape with solid bite, and a splitter that pairs naturally with the fastball to change eye levels remains underutilized and developmental — getting more consistent with the pitch is a priority alongside glove-side fastball command. The overall four-pitch arsenal has the depth of a starter’s mix with the raw stuff to support multiple roles.

The profile has a wide range of outcomes that will narrow as the secondary development and fastball command come into focus. Above-average control is already present and the command is catching up — the next step of consistently executing to spots rather than just throwing strikes is what opens the ceiling conversation further. The raw ingredients are too good to put a firm ceiling on yet.
