Summary:
The delivery alone makes Bowker a conversation piece. An extreme drop-and-drive with the back leg nearly dragging on the ground at release creates a low release point and an uphill angle that almost no other pitcher replicates. The fastball sits 92-93 and touches 95 with carry and a near-rising effect that generates whiff and chase well above what the velocity suggests, and the command of the pitch is already a strength that allows the deception to fully play.

The secondary mix gives him enough to work with in shorter stints. A mid-80s changeup that dives late with heavy downward movement is the best offering and has flashed plus, while a cutter with slicing action plays off the fastball effectively at the top of the zone. A sweeper with big horizontal break rounds out the arsenal but inconsistent strike-throwing keeps it as a situational weapon. The cutter and slider can blend at times, and the overall secondary control lags behind the fastball command — in relief outings where he can lean on the fastball and cutter without the demand of navigating a lineup multiple times, the stuff plays at its best.

The profile fits a reliever with the arsenal depth to handle spot start duties when needed. The funky delivery and fastball deception give him a high floor in that role, and continued development of the changeup could push the ceiling higher over time.
