Summary:
Bailey’s calling card is a slider he can manipulate into different shapes depending on the matchup — a gyro look against left-handed hitters and a two-plane offering with depth against right-handed hitters give him a genuine weapon on both sides of the plate that already profiles as the separator in the arsenal. A mid-80s changeup with late tumble rounds out the secondary mix and gives him a third option with above-average potential. The athletic build and long arm stroke from a three-quarters slot generate natural arm speed that gives the overall delivery a starter’s foundation.

The fastball sits 93-94 and has touched higher, but the shape and extension limit its bat-missing ability and represent the primary development area. The arm speed is already present and the delivery is athletic enough to suggest the fastball can become a more effective weapon as the release point and extension refine with continued reps — it’s a workable issue rather than a structural one. The effort in the delivery is worth monitoring but nothing that changes the overall projection.

The slider and changeup give the profile enough secondary depth to support a rotation role, and the fastball-slider combination alone provides a professional floor regardless of where the changeup and fastball development land. A JUCO arm with this kind of secondary arsenal and starter traits warrants attention as he takes the next step in his career.
