Summary:
The fastball is as unique an offering as any arm in his draft class. A very low three-quarter slot with an unusually wide release angle, heavy arm-side movement and carry creates a pitch that generates misses both in and outside the zone at an elite rate — hitters struggle to time it, track it and make meaningful contact when they do find it. The top of the zone is where the damage is most consistent, and the overall shape and delivery profile give the pitch a carrying quality that goes well beyond the velocity reading alone.

UCL surgery has compressed the track record and introduced the health variable that follows the evaluation. The command has been less reliable since the return, and the secondary offerings — a sweeping low-80s breaking ball that can lose its best shape and a mid-80s changeup with fade and sink — both produce outs without the consistency or strike-throwing needed to project as reliable weapons against advanced pitching. Developing more consistent execution and location on both secondaries is the developmental priority that will define the ceiling.

The high-leverage relief role is the most realistic outcome and a compelling one. In a closer or late-inning capacity where the fastball can operate without the secondary mix needing to hold up multiple times through a lineup, the ceiling is as high as any bullpen arm in the system — hitters facing the pitch without prior looks gives the unique shape its best chance to fully show. The limited innings and injury history make the rotation path difficult to project with confidence, and the bullpen gives the best version of the profile the best platform to show up consistently.
