Summary:
Bowes brings an unconventional delivery that’s going to draw mixed reactions from evaluators — he holds his glove high in front of him before he drives hard down the mound with real extension out front, a look that stands out visually but has produced real results. The fastball already sits in the low-to-mid 90s and has touched 96, and evaluators expect the readings to keep climbing given a young, still-projectable frame that has room to add strength.

The breaking-ball mix leans on a slider as the most consistently advanced secondary, showing a shape that bites late when it’s at its best, with a curveball and changeup rounding out a four-pitch mix that’s still finding its final form. A split-finger changeup has flashed as a real weapon with real diving action in at least one look, though it’s shown up less consistently than the rest of the arsenal.

Command and delivery consistency are the swing factors here — the profile genuinely could break either way between the rotation and the bullpen, with how well he learns to tame and repeat a long, still-maturing delivery determining which outcome is more likely. The raw stuff alone gives him real ceiling regardless of role; how much of it translates into innings depends almost entirely on the strike-throwing catching up to the arm talent.
