| Summary: Harsch is a power arm first and foremost — a tall, projectable build with broad shoulders and plenty of room to fill out, and already sitting in the upper-90s with a fastball that comes out with a level of ease that belies the readings, touching as high as 97 in a look with the national team over the summer. The breaking ball is a legitimate second weapon, a hard, upper-80s pitch with real tilt and depth that’s flashed plus potential even though its shape has drawn some disagreement on exactly what to call it. A hard changeup near 90 rounds out the mix but isn’t yet a significant piece of what he does. Command is the swing factor to watch — one look showed real swing-and-miss stuff undercut by control issues, and until that sharpens, the present usage reads more like a power reliever profile than a finished starter. There’s real long-term intrigue if a starting role and the strike-throwing both come together — evaluators have flagged real distance between where he is now and where the stuff could eventually play — but that’s a distant, secondary note rather than the current story.
