Player: Taden Krogsgaard
School: UCLAPosition(s): RHP
Height: 6’3″Weight: 180 lbs.Bats: RightThrows: Right
Summary:
Krogsgaard is a righthander with a quick, easy arm and mechanics that stay consistent, and the stuff has been getting better. The fastball sits 90-93 and finishes with late life. At times it carries a little from a lower arm angle, and some cross-body movement in the delivery hides the ball and adds deception. He puts it where he wants on either side of the plate. His frame is thin and can fill out with weight, and that development should bring more velocity.

The slider is his standout pitch. It runs from the high 70s to the low 80s, and he throws it for strikes with a lot of control. He can alter its look, either a wider, sweeping break or a tighter one that dives through two planes. It’s gotten crisper in its shape and has a chance to become a plus pitch. The rest of his arsenal is still developing and is showing signs of improvement. He pitches with a sense of poise and a feel for sequencing that are ahead of where you’d expect at this stage.

He fits as a starter, though it’s early, and the pitches behind the slider need to come along. As he gets stronger and cleans up the delivery, the fastball and the secondary pitches should keep improving, and there’s a lot of room for the profile to move up. A quality slider and a delivery that holds together give him a strong base for that growth.
