| Summary: Savoie is entering his third collegiate season with his third program in as many seasons. His impressive freshman campaign at Loyola Marymount, which saw him reach the 20 home run milestone and eclipse the 60 RBI mark, paved the way for him to make the move to Clemson. In his sophomore season in the ACC, Savoie managed to increase his overall batting average, walks, and OBP, without sacrificing power production. As he enters his draft eligible season with Texas A&M, his raw power and developing bat to ball skill carry the enticing profile. At the plate, Savoie’s set up in the box is neutral, with a leg kick that hangs. It has not proven to be an issue as he gets the foot down consistently and is on time, however the overall swing decision and propensity to chase remain a work in progress. The physical traits are present, with mature strength evident. He shows above average bat speed with strong hands through the zone. He is capable of putting the ball out to all fields, though his pull side power is draw. He’ll need to continue to improve against spin. Defensively, Savoie has seen the majority of his time behind the dish. The arm is strong, capable of playing at the next level while receiving and blocking have improved over his time on campus. Many believe he could end up in the outfield, particularly at one of the corners. Speed is not an asset current though Savoie should be dependable in the grass at the next level. The bat and potential double plus power carry the profile for Savoie. He may end up being one of the top power prospects in the 2027 draft. A year in the SEC will be telling. | |||||||||||
