Summary:
Facundo is a left-hander who has touched 100, and his fastball sits in the mid-90s, harder than at any earlier point in his career. His four-seamer doesn’t move much, and it has not missed many bats. The two-seamer, which sinks, is the better of his fastballs. He pitches only out of the stretch, keeps his delivery upright, and releases from a three-quarters slot. His arm stroke is short, and he doesn’t get much length out front.

The slider is a mid-80s breaking ball with a wide sweep and good depth, and he uses it against lefties and righties alike. It comes and goes, and it needs more innings behind it before it becomes dependable. His changeup is an occasional pitch with little movement, and it grades below average. For now he really has two pitches.

Throwing strikes is the biggest problem. His control grades below average and the misses are frequent. Injuries have kept his innings low, so there’s no record yet of holding up over a full workload. The velocity and the way he varies his arm slot and timing give him real deception, but the strikes have to improve for any of it to matter.

He projects as a bullpen arm in high-leverage spots. Velocity from the left side is a real asset for that job. If he pounds the strike zone more and builds out the changeup, the profile gets stronger.
