| Summary: A lean lefty with a ton of projection, Sdao was one of the guys who had a real shot to rocket up draft boards this Spring, but that won’t be happening as he will miss the 2025 season. The first thing that stands out when seeing him pitch is the pure arm speed, so it is no surprise he has been up to 97, although he tends to sit in the low-90s and carries well especially up in the zone. He has a sweeping slider that does have some inconsistency in shape in the low-80s but when it is working at it’s best it does have plus potential. His change sits in the mid-80s and has looked solid at times, but definitely more of a work in progress. That change needs to really improve and the frame needs to fill out a good amount for him to develop into a starter at the pro level, but the pure stuff will play just fine in a relief role if that is where he ends up long term. | |||||||||||
