| Summary: Despite the fact he will be 19 on draft day, Gamble has a frame that holds plenty of projectability that could allow for his current gap power to develop into real home run numbers in the future. He has an upright stance and impressive bat speed, although he can get too aggressive, especially against off speed stuff. The pure hit tool may be the biggest question offensively, but the overall biggest question is where the heck will he play defensively. He has seen time at short, second, third, and all three outfield spots this summer, and an argument can be made for him to play any one of those spots. Personally, I think his future is in the outfield where he shows impressive reads and routes despite not having a ton of experience out there. The pure speed and quickness and arm strength are not going to hold him back, so what position he is announced as on draft day is going to be fascinating. | |||||||||||
