| Summary: My 234th ranked prospect coming out of St. Thomas Aquinas in 2023, the Pittsburgh Pirates drafted him in the 17th round, but it was clear he was heading to the U. What did he do when he got on campus? He set the Miami record for home runs as a freshman with 24. He proved that power plays with wood as he hit a home run on the Cape that was estimated at 470 feet. While he does not sacrifice his hit tool to get to his power, it isn’t a tool that isn’t without question. He can struggle with pitch recognition and making consistent contact on secondary stuff just isn’t there yet. He is solid at third base and has more than enough arm, although he can lose urgency at times forcing him to rush throws creating some accuracy issues. There isn’t a single tool that is a real concern, but his profile is driven by the incredible power at the plate. | |||||||||||
