| Summary: Ranked just outside my top 100 in the 2024 draft out of Tomball HS in Texas, Arrambide was one of, if not the top prep catcher in the class. Despite this, he made it to campus at LSU and looks to be a starter from day one. He showed off his power throughout the showcase circuit heading into his final high school season, winning the Home Run Derby at the PG All American Classic. He regularly put up triple digit exit velos and has a chance to be a real impact bat in college, although there are certainly some swing and miss concerns. I don’t love his receiving ability and he can struggle to keep the ball in front of him when blocking it, but the arm is about as good as you will find. A true double plus tool, that alone could very well keep him behind the dish long term. | |||||||||||
