| Summary: Sime is the very definition of a high risk, high reward arm. He has one of the best fastballs in terms of velo currently, able to touch 98-99 with some frequency and triple digits certainly in the future. He also has a low-to-mid 90s sinker that plays incredibly well off the big fastball. He has shown a mid-80s change that is still incredibly raw, and a breaking ball that sits between 76-82 but has very low spin. The lack of spin is a real concern as he certainly needs to develop that if he is to be a starter as a pro. There are also plenty of moving parts and effort in the delivery to go with real command concerns with a thrower’s approach rather than that of a pitcher currently. Without reeling in the command and finding spin, there is plenty of reliever risk, although even with just the fastball and sinker combo he could be a high leverage reliever in the future. | |||||||||||
