| Summary: Bauer leans into his namesake from tv, and will often wear the number 24 as a nod to the Kiefer Sutherland played character. Don’t let that oddity fool you though, he could very well become THE Jack Bauer before too long. He has a loose long arm from a lower 3/4 slot that creates some crossy body action. The fastball sits 92-94 easily with some sink and more to come thanks to his projectable frame. He has a breaking ball that has a sweeping look with a ton of spin, able to get it up to 3,000 RPMs at times, although it lacks a real consistent/defined shape. It is a pitch that flashes plus but needs refinement. He has shown some feel for a change, although it is not a pitch that he uses much currently. There is a ton of projection left in the profile mixed with current stuff, making Bauer a guy it would not be a surprise to see a team grab him early to develop him in their system as he will be MUCH more expensive to sign in three years if he makes it to campus. | |||||||||||
