| Summary: How Jenkins plays this spring is going to be as important as any prepster in this class. Over the summer he went to a no stride swing, which is different than what he was earlier. How he comes out of the winter break and his approach will be big as he lacked some of the power he had before, but his pitch recognition and ability to handle secondary stuff improved. If he can find a way to keep his better contact rates, but tap into his better power, then he will be a big riser. He is currently a catcher although there are concerns given he is not a polished receiver and has struggled to control the run game, although he has had pop times as low as 1.90. He has the athleticism to play the outfield if he does move off catcher but, by all accounts, he has the work ethic that should allow him to make the improvements needed to be able to stick behind the dish. | |||||||||||
