| Summary: Limited to just 18.1 innings since making it to LSU two seasons ago, Shores is on pace to be on the mound for the Tigers when they start the season having fully recovered from TJ surgery. He is an imposing figure on the mound and the fastball fits the part too as he can hit triple digits with some regularity and has been up to 102. His best secondary offering in terms of upside is a lower 80s slider with plenty of depth but lacks real feel for the pitch currently. He has an upper 80s change that dips late and can get bad swings that plays really well off his fastball. While he does not have a ton of effort in the delivery and has good athleticism for his size, there are real command questions leaving plenty of debate over whether or not his future is in a rotation or coming out of the pen. | |||||||||||
