| Summary: A big righty with a fastball that flirts with triple digits, Yoder could certainly be a riser this spring. His delivery is simple and repeatable with solid body control allowing him to command his pitches well. He utilizes his lower half well allowing him to lower the effort on his arm and hold his stuff deeper into his outings and has all the signs of being a workhorse arm. The fastball shows some cut action at times, but it more often has pretty limited life meaning it isn’t much of an out pitch, although you can’t argue with the velo. His best pitch is he low 80s curve that is an easy above-average offering and places it well. He also features a mid-80s slider and seldom used change. All four pitches have average to better potential, combined with the frame and enough command, you have yourself an arm that could develop into a mid-rotation option more than capable of keeping a team in ball games every fifth day. | |||||||||||
