| Summary: The Tennessee Vol by way of Wisconsin with a one year stop in Wichita, Snead was as vital a bullpen weapon as anyone in college baseball a season ago. His fastball has been up to 101 with sink making it as heavy a pitch as any in college baseball. He has a gyro slider in the upper 80s and a low 90s tight cutter that will really be a nightmare once guys in the box are holding wood. He has shown a quality change with some arm side tumble and mixed in a curve occasionally, which is a ridiculous repertoire for a reliever, and could very well point to being enough to start. The fastball would likely tick down in a rotation, and the command really needs to improve if he is to stick in a rotation, but there are more than a few MLB teams who believe he can make it as a starter, but a high leverage reliever floor isn’t too shabby either. | |||||||||||
