| Summary: In his freshman season with Florida, he was being used in BIG spots in the College World Series where he was used often too, and the stuff suffered later in the tournament. He really struggled in 2024, with an ERA north of 7 and command issues, although he was still striking out plenty of batters. He comes from a low slot that does have inconsistencies which lead to the command struggles, but it also puts the ball on a path that can be difficult for hitters to pick up. The fastball has been up to 95 with plenty of movement, although it got flat last year which ultimately resulted in getting hit too often. His best pitch is a quality slider that is a big breaker but can get sharp when he is really on. He also has a change that lags behind the other two but has average upside. There is certainly reliever risk here, but he is hoping a transfer to Auburn where he should be a heavily leaned on starter will help prove his future is in a rotation. | |||||||||||
