| Summary: In a new age game with a focus on power and seeming indifference to strikeouts, Clauss is a breath of fresh air in his approach. He comes from a slightly open stance with high hands that allow him to stay on top of the ball well and spray line drives all over the field. Home runs are not, and likely never will be, a big part of his game, but he moves well and can still get plenty of extra base hits. Defensively he really shines, with soft hands and quiet feet, he has all the makings of a long term shortstop. The arm is no cannon, but it is more than enough to stick at the position.
