| Summary: Another year, another stud prospect out of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Rojas, a Colorado native before moving to Florida, has a loose, easy delivery from the left side and was a big riser last spring and into the summer. He comes out of a low 3/4 slot creating some deception which is only emphasized by the fact he already runs it into the mid-90s with plenty of sink and run. His change is filthy, tunneling well with shape that mirrors the fastball but with real separation in velo, although it is not a pitch he needs to use too much currently. The pitch he features most outside the fastball is a slider sitting 77-79 with sharp two plane break that gets plenty of swing-and-miss. Add to it all a super projectable body, and there is a ton to love here. | |||||||||||
