| Summary: At first glance one would expect Gibbs to be leadoff slap hitter, but he carries real pop in the bat. Despite his slender frame, the swing generates real bat speed and the ball flies off the barrel. He does sell out for that power some though with some long levers and there are some swing-and-miss concerns, but nothing that can’t be ironed out. The hands get busy at the plate and plenty of little hitches, but he can really turn over the wrists to do damage. He isn’t the best quick twitch athlete, but the overall speed and range is above-average which should allow him to stick at short, although the arm is plenty if he does move to third in the future. | |||||||||||
