| Summary: Willcox has a prototypical starter’s frame, and he has the pitch mix that should allow him to start too, but his ability to work deep into outings is still a real question mark for him. He struggles to hold his velo, going from 91-94 in early innings to more 89-91 later in his starts and often loses his release point as he tires. His curve can get slurvy at times, but it flashes real upside at it’s best. The change is a distant third pitch currently, but it has flashed moments of good fade, it is just too firm and lacks enough separation off the fastball. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
