| Summary: The polish really stands out for Spangler, as he has a smooth, simple swing from the left side and generates plenty of bat speed. His ability to get the bat to ball is just about as good as any in the class, and there is a ton of power projection left. He currently does the most damage to the pull side where the natural loft in the swing allows him to lift the ball to right, there is projection in the frame making it easy to put above-average or better power potential grades. He has solid wheels on the bases and it gives him enough range for short, where he has really good hands and stays low on grounders despite his bigger frame. He should enter pro ball as a shortstop, but there is a real chance he grows to the point third base is in his future. There he has enough arm to be a solid defender, and the power profile works just fine. | |||||||||||
