| Summary: While he is undersized, especially for a Texas righty, Walls has a smooth and low-effort delivery that he repeats well which points to a future as a starter. He typically sits in the low-90s but has been up to 96 with a fastball that he manipulates well allowing it to have plenty of ride when needed or he can give it some cut depending on the batter. He has a slider that really flashes well and gets plenty of whiffs with good spin metrics. Some scouts like his change as the best secondary offering as it shows good late tumble. While the upside isn’t massive, there is a good mid to back end rotation arm here and a relatively low risk prospect you don’t often find in an undersized prep righty. | |||||||||||
