| Summary: The ASUN Freshman of the Year in 2024, Jones transferred to Florida ahead of the 2025 season, but the year did not go as he had hoped. He suffered a shoulder injury against Miami in his fourth appearance of the season and is expected to miss the rest of the season. When healthy, he is exactly what you want in a leadoff guy. He has easy plus speed and is aggressive between the lines regularly getting the extra base and laying out for a ball in the gap. He has elite contact skills in zone despite some longer levers in the swing. There is a ton of projection in the frame which could turn into quality power numbers in the future without risking too much on the athleticism side. He should be able to stick in center field where he should be at least average if not better defensively. | |||||||||||
