| Summary: Beidelschies has experience as a closer and as a Friday night starter at Ohio State the past two years, but now is part of a stacked Arkansas pitching staff. He worked low-90s the past two years, touching 98, but has shown potential to sit in the mid-90s with more regularity with some run. The slider can be his best pitch, although he is control over command and he can center cut it too often and it will get hit hard at times. He has shown signs of a serviceable change and curve, although neither have much consistency. If one or both of those take a real stride forward and become a viable third/fourth offerings, and the command gets reeled in, he has mid-rotation upside. If he stays as just the two primary pitch guy, his fastball and slider both have plus upside, especially in shorter outings, making him a high leverage reliever prospect. | |||||||||||
