| Summary: Wilson is a proverbial toolshed, he is incredibly athletic with a ton of speed and a knack for getting the bat to ball. He has a high handset that allows him to get to the zone well, but there is an unusual recoil through his front leg after a mild stride that just looks odd. There is a natural loft to his swing but the power isn’t huge, sits below average currently but there is certainly reason to believe he grows into at least average pop in time. The arm is fringy at best so he will need to prove he can hold his athleticism as he matures on an already physical frame to maximize his value, otherwise he may have to shift to left where the emphasis on the bat will magnify. He has solid instincts and moves well, so he could certainly stick in center, and the bat is real, so there is plenty to like there, but this is a profile overall that will be sure to be the topic of much debate among scouts over the next 15 months. | |||||||||||
