| Summary: Starting open and striding closed, Kilby creates himself a very compact and direct path to the ball where he makes a ton of contact. The bat covers the zone well and comes through with some loft allowing him to lift the ball, although currently it is more gap power but it projects into decent home run pop. There is not much in terms of wasted movement and there is a rhythmic simplicity to the whole operation. He runs well which plays on the bases and should allow him to stick at short, although he can get a bit too tall at times rather than playing low to the ground and through the ball. If he does move off short, he has the arm strength to play third and the projection in the frame to suggest the rest of the profile will fit there too. | |||||||||||
