| Summary: A guy who had been primarily a reliever in his first two years at Old Dominion, Moore opened the season in the rotation with mixed results. The frame and raw stuff is certainly starter material, but the consistency from his secondary stuff, holding it deep into outings, and command will have to improve. If he ends up in the bullpen, a fastball up to 96 from a long lefty absolutely plays and he pairs it well with a low-80s slider. In the rotation, he will need to see the changeup improve from a pitch that he can surprise a hitter with, to an offering that he can mix in with some more frequency. Big lefties with big arms and a big breaker don’t grow on trees, so rolling one of those out of the bullpen is certainly a weapon, but the draft value will be largely reliant on how much a team believes in his starting potential. | |||||||||||
