| Summary: Louisville lost premier bat Gavin Kilen to Tennessee via the transfer portal but what few realized at the time is the fact they lost a second in Dickerson. He stepped to the plate just 22 times wearing a Cardinals uniform, all coming in 2024 after being redshirted in 2023. He tallied just four hits and did not put a single ball over the wall. Now at Indiana, he is one of the best hitters in college baseball. Coming from a crouched stance, he has put together excellent swings that made him a top prospect in the prep class in 2022, but he has much more bat speed than he did then. Now, he is a genuine combo of hit and power that really launches the ball thanks to the whippy bat action. In the field, he has a plus arm, but also features plus run times and that plays in center where he is an above-average defender. While Devin Taylor is still the higher ranked outfielder at Indiana, it is no longer a guarantee he is the first selected in the draft. | |||||||||||
