| Summary: Selected by the San Diego Padres in 2024, Fralick chose to head to school instead despite there being a stud catcher expected to limit his playing time. Injuries to Ike Irish opened the door for him to be the everyday catcher for Auburn though and he has run with the opportunity. He played pro tennis in his youth, with 11 matches as a pro under his belt, the athleticism carries over to the diamond and he controls the running game well with a plus arm, although the full defensive package needs to improve. He has an advanced bat-to-ball skillset and that is showing as he is one of the better pure hitters on the team. He has plus raw power, although the game power isn’t there just yet. Assuming he makes the necessary improvements to stick behind the dish, he could easily be the top catcher off the board come 2027, but he has enough athleticism to play third if a team ultimately decides his future isn’t with the gear on. | |||||||||||
