| Summary: Wood is a guy who arrived at Arkansas with the hopes of being a two way contributor, but his value on the mound was too great and he settled in as a key piece of the bullpen right away in 2023. In 2024 he worked his way into the rotation at the end of the year and has made every appearance as a starter in 2025. The problem is he missed a month and a half and has not gone more than four innings since his season opening five inning start. This, along with the command of secondary stuff, leaves a lot of questions about whether or not he can start at the next level. His fastball has been up to 98 and is a genuine weapon, and has a solid cutting slider, big curveball, and solid split change. A team will need to be convinced of his ability to stay healthy and has upside as a starter for him to hear his name called on day one of the draft. | |||||||||||
