| Summary: Harrington has a Stanford commitment and would be draft eligible if he makes it to campus, that said, a good summer and next spring could easily see him as a player with first round consideration. He has a wide base with plenty of weight on the back leg at the plate and gets busy creating some disconnect between the lower and upper half through the swing. When he stays in sync he can really make hard contact despite profiling more as a hit over power type. He is a plus runner that allows him to steal plenty of bags, but also has the quick twitch and soft hands you want out of a shortstop. There is little doubt he sticks in the dirt long term, with mild questions of whether or not the arm develops enough to stick at short but, if it does, he could be a plus defender there. | |||||||||||
