| Summary: Evans got plenty of draft attention in 2024, he was ranked 202 for me, but made it to campus at LSU and his stuff has taken a real step forward. Coming out of high school, he was sitting in the low 90s with his fastball, but now sits more mid-90s and has been up to 97. He has a two plane slider up to 89 and a mid-80s split change that has quality late life. Beyond pure stuff, he has a smooth delivery with quick actions following a shorter arm stroke to a quality 3/4 arm slot. Working with pace and utilizing some funk in the delivery, he is a touch arm to pick up, allowing all of his pitches to play above their metrics, all of which have plus upside. | |||||||||||
