| Summary: The projectable upside for Nottingham is big, but the overall arsenal is also rather raw for Nottingham. He has a lot of whip in the arm after plenty of elbow bend in the load and inconsistencies in the arm angle and release point. There are some real concerns about longevity with the arm path, but some cleaning up of the delivery and physical maturity could make this a special arm. The fastball is already up to 95 and sits 90-93. The heater has the ability to miss bats and is easily his best pitch currently. That said, his slider is solid and has at least average upside, currently in the low-80s. I expect it to be in the mid-80s within a few years and could become a legit out pitch. He also features a changeup, although it is a clear third weapon right now. | |||||||||||
