| Summary: A regular performer with the USA National Teams, Canes National, and Orange Lutheran, Murrietta has a track record of handling a quality staff. Behind the dish he is a quality receiver with soft hands and good movement behind the dish. He keeps the ball in front of him well when in the dirt and has plus upside defensively at the position. The arm isn’t the strongest, but it is accurate and the transfer is good, so that won’t hold him back at all. At the plate it is mostly hit over power with a slightly open lower half with closed shoulders and a leg kick that has the foot off the ground a pretty long time. Despite this he gets it down with good timing and uses the whole field well. The power is more doubles than long balls, but there is some upside still on that front. | |||||||||||
