| Summary:As projectable as anyone in this class, the long and lean lefty is a genuine prospect with the bat and on the bump. At the plate, he will definitely swing and miss plenty, but he doesn’t expand the zone too much. When he does make contact he leverages his frame well and can really drive the ball. In the outfield he is limited to a corner, but has plenty of arm for right. If a team wants him on the mound, where I like him best, they better get him now because if he makes it to Tennessee, with their strength program and his projectability, he will only get more expensive. His front shoulder can fly open leaving the arm to lag behind the body currently, but that isn’t a shock given his frame and age. The stuff is real, with a fastball that sits 88-91 and been up to 92, this is where the projection really plays in although the fact it has a ton of sink and run allows it to play well currently. He has a solid slider that most often works in the upper 70s and the makings of a quality change in the low 80s. Whether it is a three true outcome corner outfielder with plus raw power, or an uber projectable lefty on the mound, the upside is massive here. | |||||||||||
